Voter ID bus to visit WednesdayPublished 10:02am Tuesday, April 15, 2014
Alabama’s “Voter ID Bus” will visit Atmore City Hall on Wednesday, April 16, to make picture identification cards, which state election laws now require.
Voters must present picture identification in order to vote in all future elections. There is no charge for this service.
The bus will be in the city hall parking lot from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Wednesday.
In order to receive a free Alabama photo voter ID, a voter must show:
• A photo ID document or non-photo identity document can be used if it contains the voter’s full legal name and date of birth;
• Documentation showing the voter’s date of birth (can be verified by information in the statewide voter file);
• Documentation showing the person is a registered voter (can be verified by voter registration information);
• Documentation showing the voter’s name and address as reflected in the voter registration record (can be verified by voter registration information).
