“BINGO!”

That was the word loudly proclaimed by both youngsters and the young at heart Monday afternoon at the Atmore Nursing Center, as first graders and second graders from Atmore Christian School visited the residents to play bingo and socialize.

The visit from the ACS students kicked off a lengthy list of service activities that the kids will be participating in throughout the week. On Wednesday, junior high and high school students will work on some landscaping projects at the Mennonite Christian Fellowship and a nearby house. On Thursday, kindergartners will pick up trash in the park with “Tillie the Turtle,” and third graders through sixth graders will be cleaning up trash on Church Street, Medical Park Drive, and possibly Patterson Street.
