MLK Little League games continue

The Martin Luther King Jr. Little League has featured several exciting games in its recent schedule. All games were played at Houston Avery Park.

Mets 22, Blue Flames 18

The Mets topped the Blue Flames 22-18 in a game played Saturday, June 14.

Leading the way for the Mets was Maliek Brown, who scored five runs. Tyree Russell scored four runs, and Jailon Hall and Isaiah Finney scored three runs.
Lajavious Johnson, Tomorrian Knight and Terry Montgomery each scored two runs.

Four players scored three runs for the Blue Flames — Isaiah Mason, J’Quan Morgan, William Bradley and Jacobey James.

Shannon Wheat and Layton Frye scored two runs each, and Eric McMillan and Kaidren Arnold each scored once.

Blue Flames 9, Braves 7

The Blue Flames scored four runs in the fourth inning and two in the fifth to pick up a two-run win over the Braves on Thursday, June 12.

For the Blue Flames, Quavon McCants, Jaquan Morgan and Tyree Russell each scored two runs. Scoring one run each were Eric McMillan, Lajavious Johnson and Layton Frye.

Jacobey James led the way for the Braves, scoring two runs. Scoring one run each were Shannon Wheat, Jahiem Bowens, Sheldon Williams, Giovanni Hall and Zacharias Harris.
