Brenda Lois Godwin

Brenda Lois Godwin, 65, of Davisville, Fla., passed away Wednesday Sept. 24, 2014, in Pensacola, Fla.

She was the owner/operator of The Looking Good Hair Salon, and was born in Flomaton on Nov. 14, 1948, to the late Thomas Guy and Marie Porter Nicholas.

Ms. Brenda was a loving wife, mother and a great friend who touched the lives of many. She is preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.

Survivors are her husband, Freddie Godwin of Davisville, Fla.; three daughters, Sonia (Quint) Wilson of Bratt, Fla., Tonia (Tom) Presley of Byrneville, Fla., and Brandy Ramer of Davisville, Fla.; one brother, Ralph “Bill” Scott; two sisters, Pearline Torelli and Jackie Grantham; seven grandchildren, Patrick (Elizabeth) Wilson, Tabitha Presley, Danielle Wilson, Tiffany Presley, Talisa Presley, Raven Ramer and River Ramer and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Saturday, Sept. 27, at 11 a.m. from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ted Bridges officiating. Interment followed in Godwin Cemetery. The family received friends from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service time Saturday, Sept. 27, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers were Timmy Ramer, Bobbie McCall, Bernard Owens, Buddy Scott, Louie Thrower, and Michael Johnson.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc., was in charge of all arrangements.
