Thursday evening, Oct. 23, was the first of several drug awareness educational community forums to be held in the future.

We want to thank Judge David Jordan, Judge Bradley Byrne, Officer Scott Walden and Denise Carlee for presenting the outstanding program “Drugs Destroy Dreams.” It was held at the ECHS gym, with over 450 parents and students attending.

We also want to thank Principal Dennis Fuqua and Assistant Principal Sarah Watkins, Suzanne Helton, the HOSA group and Flomaton Leos for their assistance.
Pastor Don Davis of Atmore First Assembly opened the forum with prayer and Lion and Former Escambia County Superintendent Buck Powell led the Pledge of Allegiance. Pepsi Cola of Atmore and Pizza Hut of Atmore provided the Pepsi and pizza.
