The Northview Chiefs couldn’t quite muster a late rally Friday night, as visiting Blountstown won 28-27 in a non-district game to close out the Chiefs’ regular season.

Northview led 7-0 after one quarter, 13-7 at halftime, and 27-14 after three quarters.

The Chiefs will travel to play Vernon in the first round of the Class 1A state playoffs Friday night.
