The Escambia County High School Blue Devils won two of their three games last week, beating Clarke County and Monroe County at home, but losing to Baldwin County on the road.

ECHS (3-4) earned a 76-66 win over Clarke County on Tuesday, Nov. 18, and followed that up with a 46-42 win over Monroe County on Friday night. The Blue Devils fell at Baldwin County, 61-55, on Saturday evening.

“The season is going well, even though we have competed against strong teams from Class 5A, 6A and 7A schools,” first-year ECHS coach Terrence Walker said. “We are making the shift from an athletic focus to one of academic discipline first. Our players are showing more maturity on the court and in the classroom.”
