John E. Rutherford, 70, of Atmore, passed away Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, in Century, Fla.

He worked in construction most of his life, and was born in Texas on Aug. 27, 1935. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, and he never met a stranger and always had a line to tell.

He is survived by family and friends.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday Feb. 11, from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel, with Sis. Jean Coleman officiating. Interment followed in McCullough Cemetery.

The family received friends from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service time Wednesday, Feb. 11, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc., was in charge of all arrangements.
