An Atmore woman was injured Saturday, after her vehicle overturned during rainy weather on State Highway 21, about six miles north of Atmore.

Alabama State Trooper Jamie Maloy said that Dameka Dee Cook, 24, was injured when her 1996 Chevrolet Tahoe left the roadway and overturned near Martin Circle, at the 5.9-mile marker.

The crash took place at approximately 5:40 p.m. Cook was transported to Atmore Community Hospital, for treatment of her injuries.

Maloy said that no further information was available at this time, because the crash is still under investigation by the Alabama State Troopers.
