NHS players selected as ‘all-stars’

Three softball players and two baseball players from Northview High School were recently selected as participants in the Subway High School All-Star 2015 baseball and softball games.

Named to the West softball team were Northview second baseman Addy Lee, pitcher/first baseman Mallory Ryan and catcher/centerfielder Angel Lathan. Named to the West baseball team were shortstop Chasen Freeman and outfielder Aaron McDonald.

The games began at the University of West Florida on Thursday, but they were interrupted and eventually cancelled due to inclement weather.

At the time of the cancellation, the East baseball team led 1-0, and the West softball team led 1-0.
The games will not be rescheduled.

Other schools eligible for the West team included Catholic, East Hill, Escambia, Pensacola, Pensacola Christian, Pine Forest, Tate, Washington and West Florida. Schools in the East team included Baker, Central, Choctaw, Crestview, Fort Walton, Gulf Breeze, Jay, Laurel Hill, Milton, Navarre, Niceville, Pace and Rocky Bayou.
