• Mary McLain, 28, of Millbrook, on the charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia;

• Danny Jones, 42, of Ramer, on the charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia;

• Timothy Sims, 46, of Huxford, on the charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Walden said all four suspects were transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.

Walden said that officers had conducted a search warrant at 67 Daniels Ave. two weeks ago, but continued to receive reports of suspicious activity at the location. Walden and DTF agent Isaac Lopez set up surveillance on the residence for three days, before executing the search warrant Saturday afternoon. Escambia County Sheriff’s Office deputies, Poarch Tribal Police Department officers and Lt. Dion Wasden of the Alabama Department of Corrections assisted Walden and Lopez.

“At 4:30 p.m. Saturday, we executed the search warrant,” Walden said. “We found several glass pipes commonly used to smoke methamphetamines, as well as syringes commonly used to inject drugs.”

Walden said the law enforcement agents also discovered a while plastic bottle that contained a white powdery substance that field tested positive for meth. However, Walden said that one of the suspects claimed the substance was actually a friend’s cremated remains.

“We’re sending it to the forensics lab in Mobile for more testing,” Walden said.
