A honeybee workshop will be held at the Molino Community Complex on Sat., Feb. 20, at 7 a.m.

The workshop is being sponsored by the North Escambia Bee Association out of Florida.

The keynote speaker is Dr. Clarence H. Collison, professer and department head emeritus, entomology and plant pathology at Mississippi State.

Additionally, State Bee Inspector Andrew Finch will be present.

Workshop speakers include retired bee inspectors, master beekeepers and backyard beekeepers. Topics include basic and advanced topics, best beekeeping practices, pollination recommendations, factors effecting the drone, threat of varoa mites and effects of insecticidal sprays.

Registration cost is $20 for adults, $12.50 for those age 13-18 and free for those 12 and under.
