Chamber holds 70th annual meeting

Murray Johnson was given the Lifetime Achievement Award for his efforts in Atmore’s youth baseball leagues at the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce 70th annual meeting earlier tonight.

Johnson took over the city’s program in 1973 and has held the post ever since.

Many of Johnson’s family were in attendance at the banquet.

Ellis Beachy was named the 2016 Citizen of the Year.
