ECHS coach James Lindsey said the boys played great.

“Everybody on our roster played,” he said. “Everybody scored, and it was a full-team tournament win.”

While it may have been a long day on the baseball field, Lindsey said the boys stayed pumped up the whole day.

“They did a great job,” he said.

Brandon Cummings struck out 11 batters in a complete-game against Georgiana in the second game of the day.

Against Monroe County in the third game, Tyler Jackson allowed three hits and had three strikeouts.

For the day, JaBryce Hooks went 4-for-6 with two doubles and five RBIs to lead the Blue Devils.

ECHS is back in action next Friday at Tom Byrne Park against Vigor.
