City’s Christmas events start Friday

City of Atmore employees have been busy decorating downtown to get ready for Christmas festivities, which begin Fri., Dec. 2, with Santa in the Park at Heritage Park.

The Santa in the Park event will be held from 4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. Santa will come by train at 4:30. The only cost of the event is having a professional photographer taking your kids’ pictures with Santa.

On Dec. 3, from 9 a.m. until noon, K-9 Kleaners will host its annual Santa Paws event, a fundraiser that raises money and supplies for the shelter.

Then on Thurs., Dec. 8, from 4-7 p.m. the Jingle Bell Walk in downtown Atmore is an event that allows area residents can shop local to start the holiday season.

The following two nights are going to be the PCI Christmas Parade at Poarch at 6 p.m. on Dec. 9, and the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce Twilight Christmas Parade at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 10.
