Through a pancake supper fundraiser held at First Baptist Church of Bratt, supporters were able to raise more $13,521 through the effort, not including other donations, which put the total at more than $15,000.

The funds raised will go toward helping the family with the cost of medical expenses for Joanna and Zach.

Some supporters were seen wearing T-shirts that said, “Team Barrow: We All Fight Together.”

Among the other announcements, included that the Blue Wahoos will hold Zach Barrow night at their stadium in Pensacola. The family will throw out the first pitch and will receive a portion of the proceeds from the nightly sales.

Additionally, Dr. Sheldon Harigel will give an annual memorial scholarship in memory of Zach, who played baseball and coached at Northview, every year to a qualifying athlete.
