Arkansas native and country music superstar Justin Moore is bringing his small-town music style to Wind Creek Casino and Hotel in Atmore.

Moore will be performing at the casino on Sat., July 15.

Moore spent three years working on his fourth and latest studio album, “Kinda Don’t Care.”

The album was kick started with his sixth chart-topping single, “You Look Like I Need a Drink” and a follow up single, “Somebody Else Will.”

A known roady, Moore has shared the stage with Hank Williams Jr., Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert and Brantley Gilbert, and is currently on his headlining AMERICAN MADE TOUR with Lee Brice.

Moore’s musical background is based in church.

“I grew up in a tiny town of about 300 people, so I was chosen to do all the leads in the church plays,” he said. “It wasn’t until my junior year that I started playing music for real. My uncle was in a southern rock band that I would jump up and play with wherever I could.”

Moore said playing music with his uncle gave him the “bug.”

His musical influences are a combination between traditional country and southern rock.

“Everything from George Strait to Lynyrd Skynrd,” he said.

While the latest album took three years to complete, Moore said the band wanted to push themselves.

“It’s definitely the most diverse album of my 10-year career,” he said. “We did some things from a production standpoint that we have done yet. It was fund to get out of my comfort zone, in that sense.”

Moore said music has always been a big part of his life.

“I’ve always had the mentality in life that, if someone else can do something, so can I,” he said. “Growing up, I played sports. Playing on stage is the only thing that gives me the same rush and fulfillment (as sports).

“Not to mention, it’s nice to not have a real job,” he quipped.

Moore said he hopes the fans have fun at his show next weekend.

“That’s our main goal every time we walk on stage,” Moore said. “We want everyone to leave feeling like they got their money’s worth, but more specifically, all our hits and a lot of the latest album.”

Moore will continue to tour throughout the rest of the summer, and will start writing his next album this winter.
