The Atmore City Council accepted a resolution to award a sanitary sewer rehabilitation CDBG project bids of more than $394,000 to Suncoast Infrastructure LLC at its meeting Monday night.

The project, which is CDBG Project No. LR-CM-PF-16-007, and is contingent on approval from the Alabama Department of Economic Affairs, was awarded to Suncoast for $394,960. A representative from Southern Engineering Solutions said they took bids last Wed., July 19.

The project will rehab sewer pipes on all of Short Street, Trout Street and Bream Street.

Mayor Jim Staff said the project is being done to rehab the pipes, and added smoke tests revealed leaks.
