Letter to the Editor for Wed., Aug. 2, 2017

Dear Editor,

The Atmore Public Library’s summer reading program, “Build A Better World,” was a great success with a total attendance of 763 children and 347 adults.

The children checked out 2,161 books during the eight-week program. Many of these books were purchased with funds from the Poarch Creek Indians, Library Partners, City of Atmore, United Fund and Pepsi. We are very grateful for their support.

We could not have such a large group without the help of our local media. Thank you Atmore Advance for all your coverage and thanks for letting the public know about the library.

Also, a very special thank you goes to the Library Partners of Atmore for sponsoring this year’s program. Your annual contribution to this wonderful organization provides programs, books and equipment we could not otherwise afford.

If you have not visited the library lately, please stop by and see us. Visit our website www.atmorelibrary.com. We are also on Facebook and Instagram.
