Mrs. Addie L. Daniels ("Mother Daniels") 105, died Monday, August 23, 1999, at Atmore Community Hospital.
Mrs. Daniels was born in Daphne and resided in Atmore most of her life. She was the oldest living member of Mt. Triumph Baptist Church and a member of the Senior Choir.
Mrs. Daniels was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Johnson; four sons, Robert Lee Johnson, John D. Johnson, Willie Johnson and Azell Johnson, and two grandchildren, Reginald D. McCants and Frances Johnson.
She is survived by a daughter, Louise G. McCants of Atmore; two sons, O.B. Johnson of Port Salerno, Fla., and W.G. Johnson and his wife Lillie of Atmore, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 28, at Mt. Triumph Baptist Church, Atmore, with Dr. A.L. Durant Sr. officiating.
Mrs. Daniels was buried at Lucius Cemetery. Pallbearers were church deacons and friends of the family.
Turner Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
