Mr. Lee Edward Ford, 56, of Walnut Hill, died Sunday, Nov. 28, 1999, at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Redmon Ford of Walnut Hill, several children, sisters and brothers and a host of grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 4, 1999, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Baptist Church in Walnut Hill with burial in St. Paul Cemetery. Turner Funeral Chapel of Atmore is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Willene J. McGhee, 73, of Atmore, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999 in Atmore. Mrs. McGhee, a seamstress with Vanity Fair, is survived by three sons, Bobby Lee McGhee of Blountstown, Fla., John "Johnny" Howard McGhee of Atmore and Preston McGhee of Monroeville; three daughters, Mary Christine Parker of Trinity, Texas, Betty Ann McGhee of Poarch and Angela DeVilbiss of Foley; a brother, James Lee Partin of Atmore, two sisters, Thelma Corine Jackson of Pensacola and Linnie Ruth Wolf of Jay; 20 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 29, 1999, at 10 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. William Rolin officiating. Burial was at New Home Cemetery in Poarch.
Dr. Ralph Gordon Sasser, 77, of Crestview, Fla., died Sunday, Nov. 28, 1999, at National Health Care in Pensacola, following a lengthy illness. Dr. Sasser, a long-time resident of the northwest Florida area, is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ellafaire Luker Sasser of Crestview; three sons, Ray Gordon Sasser and his wife Joyce Elaine of Orange Beach, Jimmy Sasser and his wife Patricia of Livingston, La., and Ron M. Sasser and his wife Cindy of Milton; one daughter, Sue Townsend and her husband Marty of Crestview; three brothers, Donald R. Sasser and his wife Mavis of lnnerarity Point, Fla., Ken Sasser, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Still R. Sasser and his wife Gwen of Harrisburg, N.C.; three sisters, Sue Steele and her husband Bill of Pensacola, Betty Kingsley of Kansas City, Mo., and Helen Hooper and her husband Jess of Robertsdale; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Presley Street Baptist Church on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999, at 11 a.m. with Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home directing. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery. Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
The Rev. Joseph F. Stark, 73, of Atmore died of natural causes on Sunday, Nov. 28, 1999. Rev. Stark was pastor of New Home United Pentecos-tal Church for the past 25 years.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary A. Stark; two sons, J. Frederick Stark Jr. of San Francisco, and Robert N. Stark of New Or-leans; a sister, Minnie Lou McKinley of east Texas, three grandchildren, Natalie Stark, Robert Stark Jr. and Jeffery Stark, all of New Orleans, and one great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Stark of New Orleans.
Visitation will be held at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home on Wednesday, Dec. 1 at 1 p.m. with graveside services beginning at 3 p.m. at Serenity Gardens.
Ms. Clarreese Delores Witcher, 66, of Atmore died Friday, Nov. 26, 1999, at Providence Hospital in Mobile. She is survived by three daughters, Marreese Jones and her husband Bobby, Angela Johnson and her husband Carnell and Brettschneider Staples and her husband Farrell, all of Atmore; an adopted son, Robert McCall of Atmore; two sisters, Dorothy Lee and Dannie Andrews and her husband William, all of Uriah; two brothers; U.D. Parker and his wife Mable and Dan Parker and his wife Kathy, all of Chicago.; a special devoted friend, Alexander Davison of Atmore; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Turner Funeral Home on Friday, Dec. 3, 1999 from 1-8:30 p.m., with a family hour being held from 7-8 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec. 4, 1999, at 2:30 p.m. at Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church in Atmore with Dr. A.L. Durant Sr. officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.
