Mrs. Artie Missye McIntyre Brown. 95, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2000, in Atmore.
Mrs. Brown was a resident of Atmore and a fire watcher for the State of Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Hubert Brown, and two grandsons, James Patrick Schell and Harvey Rondal Ross.
Mrs. Brown is survived by a son, Carl Hubert Brown Jr, of Atmore; four daughters, Helen B. Ross of Warner Robbins, Ga., Hazel B. Hall and her husband, Heron and Nelda Grace Brown, all of Atmore and Betty Joyce Tubbs and her husband, Bob, of Dothan; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, four great-great- grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 6 at 10 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home with Bro. John Brannon and Bro. Joe Thomas. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Antioch Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Ronald Lee Ross, Richard Heron Ross, John David Ross, Justin Heron McKinley, Terry Jones and Greg McKinley. Honorary pallbearers will be Albert Rivers, Rodney Flack, Ronald Wingo, Mark Edmondson and Michael Phillips.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Aleen McKenzie Forte, 80, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2000, in Atmore. Mrs. Forte was born in Midway, Ala. and was a resident of Atmore.
She is survived by her husband, James M. Forte of Atmore; a sister; Maurice McKenzie of Pensacola; two nieces, Mary Bullard of Pensacola and Betty Sue Hawsey of Jay and three nieces of Mr. Forte, Betty Raley of Atmore and Mildred Walker and Julie Neimyer, both of Fairhope.
Graveside services were held Monday, Jan. 2 at 10:30 a.m. with Bro. Mike Grindle officiating. Burial followed at Buena Vista Cemetery in Monroe County.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Woodrow Marvin Gilmore, 84, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2000, at a Pensacola hospital.
Mr. Gilmore had been a lifetime resident of Byrneville, a retired employee of St. Regis Paper Company and a member of Byrneville United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Robbie Gilmore.
He is survived by his son, Elton Gilmore of McDavid; his daughter, Evangeline Gilmore of Byrneville; a brother, Winston Gilmore of Pensacola; two sisters, Ruth Gandy of Century and Helen Boyd of Pensacola and five grandchildren, Eric GIlmore, Jennifer GIlmore, Sarah Gilmore, Matthew Gilmore and Benjamin Gilmore.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 6, at 10 a.m. at Byrneville Methodist Church with the Rev. Jack DeJarnette and the Rev. Bert Wies officiating.
Burial will follow at the Byrneville cemetery.
Mr. David Lee O'Cain, 44, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 1999.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, Daniel and Ann O'Cain; three sisters, Jacquelyn O'Cain and Sheila O'Cain, both of Century and Sandra Mitchell and her husband, Calvin, of Wiesbaden, Germany; a step sister, Crystal Choate of Atmore; three brothers, Daniel O'Cain Jr. and his wife, Theresa and Shawn O'Cain and his wife, Calaundra. all of Atlanta, Ga. and Larry O'Cain of Atmore; three step-brothers, Marvina and Darrlyn Choate of Miami, Fla., and Charles Choate of Brandon, Fla.; 10 nieces, two nephews, aunts; uncles; cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 4, at 11 a.m. at Robinson Funeral Home with Bro. Adams, Bro. Rabon and Bro. Salter officiating.
Burial was at Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers were family and friends.
Mrs. Evelyn M. Peacock, 68, of Atmore, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 1999, in Atmore.
Mrs. Peacock is survived by her husband, Mr. Ray Edward Peacock of Atmore; two sons, Charles Allen Peacock and his wife, Susanne of Atmore and Archie E. Peacock and his wife Paula of Monroeville; a daughter, Dianne Johnson of Atmore; a brother, John Henry Mayo of Mobile, a sister, Voncile Ray of Canoe; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 1, 2000 at 10 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Chapel with Bro. Fred Brown officiating. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Willie Ray, Chad Black, Lance Johnson, Matt Helms, Joey Helms and Dwain Mayo.

Mrs. Claudia Smith, age 93, of Atmore, died on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2000, at Atmore Nursing Care Center.
Mrs. Smith's funeral services will be announced later by Turner Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Evelyn T. Sneed Watson, 72, of Ozark, Ala., died Monday, Jan. 3, 2000, in her home.
Mrs. Watson was a retired banker who was associated with Bank of Atmore, Lake Region Bank of Commerce in Winter Haven, Fla., Fort Rucker National Bank in Fort Rucker, City Bank of Hartford in Hartford and Commercial Bank of Ozark in Ozark. She was a member of Westview Heights United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Royce W. Watson of Ozark; a daughter, Theresa D. Cleveland of Milton; a son, Tyrone A. Dove of Blairsville, Ga., a step-son, Mark R. Watson of Ft. Walton Beach; eight grandchildren, Monica, Brandon and Tennelle Lassiter of Atmore, Leah, Kelly, Tyler and Amy Dove of Blairsville and Iron Coy Thomley of Ozark; four great-grandchildren, Kolten Reid, Jordan Lassiter, Paeton Hadley and Preston Milstead; two brothers, William Earl Thomley of Eglin, S.C. and Durwood (Durk) Thomley of Ozark and a sister, Amelia Spurill of Perdido.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 5 at Westview Heights United Methodist Church with the Rev. Phil Craddock Officiating. Graveside services will be held at 4:30 p.m. at Oakhill Cemetery in Atmore.
