An Atmore man was killed in a one-vehicle accident last week.
Clarence Kenneth Godwin, 62, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a spokesperson with the Mobile State Troopers office.
Godwin was traveling on County Road 61 in north Baldwin County Wednesday morning. He was on his way to visit his brother William in the Little River community.
His car apparently ran off the road and overturned several times. Godwin was ejected from the vehicle. According to the trooper's report, he was not wearing a seat belt.
The accident occurred 22 miles north of Bay Minette at about 7:30 a.m. The cause of the accident was not known.
Godwin and his wife maintained homes in Atmore and Pensacola. He was retired from Arizona Chemicals.
