John Henry Colbert Sr.
Mr. John Henry Colbert Sr., 77, died Sunday, March 19, 2000, at a Mobile hospital.
Mr. Colbert had been a resident of Atmore most of his life and a member of United Pentacostal Church of Atmore.
He is survived by his wife, Cubia Dean Colbert of Atmore; two sons, John Henry Colbert Jr. and Jimmy Dean Colbert, both of Atmore; a daughter, Linda Diane Rollin and her husband, Arthur, of Atmore; a brother, Oscar Colbert of Atmore; a sister, Tencie Mae Kircharr; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 22 at 2 p.m. at Atmore Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Fred F. Gibbs officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Rudolph James "Rudy" Fitzpatrick
Mr. Rudolph James "Rudy" Fitzpatrick, 67, died Friday, March 17, 2000, in Pensacola.
Mr. Fitzpatrick was born in Baltimore, Md. and was a resident of Atmore where he was a local grocery manager. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mitzi Trent Fitzpatrick of Atmore; three sons, Jay Blacksher and his wife, Elizabeth, of Gooding, Idaho, Mike Fitzpatrick and his wife, Patty, of Virginia Beach, Va. and Scott Fitzpatrick and his wife, Regena, of Dothan; two daughters, Cathy Fitzpatrick of Virginia Beach and Rebecca Snyder and her husband, William, of Monroeville; two sisters, Nancy Tyson of Escatawba, Miss. and Pat Burson of Mexia, Ala. and five grandchildren, Cheyanna Robinson, Laura-Beth Fitzpatrick, Shavannah Snyder, Catie Fitzpatrick and Conner Fitzpatrick.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 25 at 11 a.m. from First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Wesley Channell officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Mobile Ronald McDonald House, 1626 Springhill Ave., Mobile, AL 36604 or First Presbyterian Church.

William Ephen Hall
Mr. William Ephen Hall, 71, Died Saturday, March 19, 2000, at a Mobile Hospital.
Mr. Hall had been a resident of Mobile for the past 33 years and a member of Holiness Church.
He is survived by his wife, Katie Hall; two sons, Ephen Hall and Darrell Hall; a daughter, Trudie Hadley; two brothers, Junior Hall and Jerry Hall; three sisters, Sadie Hadley, Zetta Hall and Myrtle Rutherford; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 21 at 2 p.m. at Perdido Church of God with the Rev. Harrison Steege officiating.
Burial followed at Lottie Methodist Church Cemetery.
Gerald L. "Jerry" Howell
Mr. Gerald L. "Jerry" Howell, 39, died Friday, March 17, 2000, in Perdido.
Mr. Howell had been a resident of Perdido for the past 15 years, a member of the Protestant Church and an NRA.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Mark A. Howell.
Mr. Howell is survived by his parents, M. J. and Norma Howell of Perdido; his companion, Peggy Minas of Waveland, Miss.; a son, Scott Ashley of Picayune, Miss.; a daughter, JoAnne Marie of Waveland; five brothers, Marvin Keith Howell of Waveland, Gregory Kirk Howell, Norman Jack Howell and Brian Anthony Howell, all of Perdido and Christopher Duane Howell of Atmore and three sisters, Cynthia Denise Robinson and Marian Deneane Howell, both of Perdido and Julie DeAnne Ippolito of Nokomis.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 21 at 2 p.m. at Atmore Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Tony Gibson officiating.
Burial followed at Pine Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Terry Williams, Brad McDuffy, Brian Howell, Tommy Langham, Donald Ippolito and Chris Howell.

Willard F. Killam
Mr. Willard F. Killam, 71, died Friday, March 17, 2000, at a Pensacola hospital.
Mr. Killam had been a resident of Flomaton since 1951. He was an adjutant and vice-president of the American Legion in Flomaton, an employee of Border's Dairy for 28 years, a charter member of the Flomaton Sheriff's Auxiliary, a charter member of Flomaton Fire and Rescue Squad, co-owner of Killiam's Bait and Tackle Shop in Flomaton and the Cub Master and assistant Scout Master of the Flomaton Boy Scouts.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Dean Killiam of Flomaton; a son, Mike Killiam of McDavid; two daughters, Jan Killiam and Patty Killiam, both of Flomaton; a brother, Alton Killiam of Bratt; a sister, Ruth Martin of Atmore and two grandchildren, Aaron Killiam and Amanda Killiam of McDavid.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 20 at 2 p.m. at Atmore Memorial Chapel with Bro. Robert J. Wasden officiating.
Burial followed at Flomaton Cemetery with Father Cecil Spotwood officiating.
Pallbearers were Aaron Killiam, Matt Robbins, Larry White, Ben White, Dwight Hopkins and Ronnie Hammond.
Georgia Matthews
Mrs. Georgia Matthews of Atmore died Sunday, March 19, 2000, at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola. Services and survivors will be announced by Turner Funeral Chapel.

Arhtur Lee Ray
Mr. Arthur Lee Ray, 76, died Saturday, March 18, 2000 at a local hospital.
Mr. Ray had been a resident of Atmore for the past 35 years. He was a member of Sardis Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ruth "Sister" Ray of Atmore; two sons, Johnny Ray and his wife, Charlene, of Atmore and Jack Ray of Castleberry; a daughter, Judy Dean of Ocala, Fla.; three brothers, Marvin Ray, Willis Ray and Johnnie Frank Ray, all of Canoe; two sisters, Lettie Jane Childress and Mary Jean Conway, both of Robinsonville; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Ray, Keri Bishop, Jennifer Ray, Joshua Ray, Brandy Dean, Jessie Bedsole and John Dean and four great-grandchildren, Devin Bedsole, Dylan Johnson, Dustin Bishop and Mikala Dean.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 20 at 10 a.m. at Atmore Memorial Chapel with the Rev. James Ivy officiating.
Burial followed at Sardis Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jeremy Ray, Joshua Ray, John Dean, Mark glass, Russell Smith and Kevin Bishop.

Edith Earline Smith
Ms. Edith Earline Smith, 79, died Sunday, March 19, 2000 at her home.
She is survived by her daughter, Tosha Smith and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 22 at 2 p.m. at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel in Pensacola.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. at Canoe Freewill Cemetery in Canoe.

Nell Wilson Stacey
Mrs. Nell Wilson Stacey, 76, died Sunday, March 19, 2000, at a Pensacola Hospital.
Mrs. Stacey was born in Atmore, but grew up in Mobile. She moved back to Atmore and has been a resident since 1945 and a member of Oakdale Baptist Church. She was one of the original employees of Vanity Fair from where she retired as a sewing line supervisor after 31 years. She had been a welder for a shipyard during WWII where she helped build landing craft. SHe was a member and past worthy Matron of McCoy Chapter Order of the Evening Star and a member of Brewton Order of the Eastern Star chapter.
She is survived by her husband, O. R. "PeeWee" Stacey of Atmore; a son, Bill E. Smith of Atmore; three granddaughters, Carol Smith of Bay Minette, Diane Williams of Montgomery and Jennifer Blanton of Atmore; two great-granddaughters, Aaron Blanton of Atmore and Sarah Williams of Montgomery.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 22 at 10 a.m. at Atmore Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mike Grindel officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery with Eastern Star gravesides rites.
