Harold Earnest Peacock
Mr. Harold Earnest Peacock, 72, of Hope Grant Road in the Little Rock Community in Atmore, died Monday, May 1, 2000, at his residence after an extended illness.
He was a native of Byrneville, Fla., and a life-long resident of Atmore. He was a retired truck driver for Scott Paper Company and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Nita Kay Peacock.
Mr. Peacock is survived by his wife, Martha Grant Peacock; three sons, Luther and Mark Peacock of Atmore and Glen Peacock and his wife Debra of Uriah; a daughter, Rita Gohagin, and her husband Dauphin of Atmore; and seven grandchildren, Keith, Grant, Anthony, Jessica, Jennifer, Shannon and Benji.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 3, at 10 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Thrower and the Rev. Doug Barnes officiating. Burial followed at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were his brothers-in-law, Don Grant, Dwight Grant, Delano Grant, LeRoy Smith, Tommy Fields and James Turner.
Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton was in charge of arrangements.
