To the Editor:
I have never read a more disgusting article as written by Ben Norman about the killing of crows for target practice for dove season. No ethically moral newspaper would print such an unethical article on killing of a species of the bird family-the crow-for target practice killing.
Can't we find more things to do and write about that would educate and inform an intelligent society?
I know that everyone has not been exposed to the humane treatment of animals, but can't the articles in The Advance lead to education rather than encourage the eradication of a species of birds for the fun of the kill.
I guess Mr. Norman will advocate shooting dogs and cats to practice for deer season.
Atmore already has established itself as a place of executions. Do we want to be known as a town that wipes out an intelligent species of birds also?
