Mr. Billy "Bill" Joe Edwards, 69, died Wednesday, August 2, 2000, in Atmore.
Mr. Edwards was a native of Neosho County, Kan. and a resident of Atmore. He was the former owner of B&J Bait and Tackle and had served in the U.S. Air Force and Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lucille Edwards of Atmore; his mother, Mrs. Arnice Edwards of Kansas; a sister, Arlean Jacks of Calif.; a son, Michael Houston Edwards of Robertsdale; two daughters, Sheila Hall of Robinsonville and Annette Harris of Atmore and four grandchildren, Christopher Hall, Heather Hall, Brittany Harris and Michael Jo Lawrence Edwards.
Funeral services were held Friday, August 4 at 2 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Grindle officiating.
Pall bearers were Clifford Amos, Freddie Godwin, Jerald Baker, Billy Ray Downey, Bobby McCall, and John Perkins
Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
