The Escambia County Ala. Board of Education will interview five candidates this week to fill the superintendent of education position.
Six candidates were being considered but Dr. Randall Keith Little of Brewton withdrew his name as a candidate, according to board attorney Broox Garrett Jr.
The interviews are open to the public. According to Garrett, questions will asked by the board only.
Board members will have a suggested format of questions formulated by the consultants who assisted in the superintendent search. However, Garrett said, the questions are not a scrip and each board member will have the opportunity to ask other questions. Garrett said they will try to be somewhat consistent with the interviews.
Current Superintendent of Education Dr. Margaret Breland-Bradley and Garrett released the following schedule:
Monday, Aug. 7
Phillip Ellis – 4:30-6 p.m.
Tuesday, Aug. 8
