Five injured in one-vehicle accident Thursday

Five people were injured in an automobile accident Thursday afternoon on Highway 21.
Officials with the Alabama State Troopers office said the accident occurred at 2:35 p.m. and involved one 1990 GMC van.
The driver, Jerry Wayne Melton, of Frisco City, was injured as well as four passengers: James Wilkins, a 59-year-old male of Uriah; Ricky Baldwin, a 50-year-old male of Uriah; Rebecca Rigsby, a 31-year-old female of Peterman, Ala. and Pat Hendrix, a 44-year-old male of Frisco City.
The location of the accident was on Highway 21, north of the Interstate 65 exchange.
State Trooper Edward Bennett was the reporting officer.
Details of the accident are still under investigation by the state troopers office.
