Mrs. Ethel Irene Rider, 88, died Thursday, September 28, 2000, in Century.
Mrs. Rider had been a resident of Cantonment for the past eight years and a former resident of Century. She was a Pink Lady at Abernathy Hospital, a member of SAIL of Flomaton and a member of Flomaton First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Joy Fay Vesterby of Tallahassee, Fla.; four sisters, Florene Covan of Bluff Springs, Angie Conway of Grand Bay, May Burke of Calara, Ala. and Jennie Conway of Sylacauga; five grandchildren, Joey Cox of Peacos, N.M., Steve Cox of Pensacola, Susie Shields and Lisa Shaw, both of Tallahassee and Carol Godwin of Cantonment; 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great- grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, September 30 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Jerry Keese officiating.
Burial was at Flomaton Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Donnie Goodwin, Bill Collins, Billy Cox, Matt Fiebig and Mr. Isabell.
