Mrs. Cornelia Willis, 88, died Monday, October 2, 2000, in Atmore.
Mrs. Willis was a native of Wainwright, Ala. and a resident of Atmore. She was a member of Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church and a former member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was a missionary and member of the senior choir.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Minner Lee, three brothers, Wilson, Lathran and Frank William and three sisters, Clarissa, Naomi and Lucinda.
Mrs. Willis is survived by two daughters, Doris W. Johnson and Dorothy W. Benjamin, both of Atmore; two sons, Charles Willis of New York, N.Y. and Adam D. Gantt of Los Angeles, Calif.; three sisters, Esterlyn Stephens and Elizabeth Riley, both of Atmore and Ida Green of Mobile; 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 7 at noon at Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church with the Rev. A. L. Durant Sr. officiating.
Burial was at Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers were friends of the family.
