Dear Editor:
I had the opportunity last Friday, Oct. 6, to ride a charter bus sponsored by the Northview High School Quarterback Club to Marianna for a district football game. Not that I was anticipating any problems on the trip, but I can say that in the absence of problems the trip was most enjoyable.
Of the 46 individuals who rode the Spirit Bus' to support our Chiefs, over half were Northview students. The students were exceptionally considerate of others and well disciplined. It was a pleasure chaperoning a bus of students which we – school and parents – can surely take pride in.
Several people have asked if the NHS Quarterback Club would be sponsoring a bus to Kingston, Ala. for the Oct. 20 road trip, and I for one would like this to happen if we have enough response for one.
I would like to thank Joyce Gunn at Northview for her help in registering students for the Oct. 6 trip. Many of these students may not have been able to go to support our football team if we had not had this charter. Anyone interested in riding a charter to Kingston may contact me at 850-587-2489.
Thank you Northview students, Sandra Greenwell
NHS Quarterback Club Secretary
