Dobson, Godwin win WSD 5K run

Runners and bikers took to the streets Saturday in the Williams Station Day 5K run, 25-mile bike ride, kids' fun run and the first WSD biathlon.
Terri Godwin, who coordinated the runs and rides, was pleased with the number of participants, especially in the biathlon.
Winners in each event are listed below:
5K run
Overall, male – Matthew Dobson, Jay; Overall, female – Casey Godwin, Walnut Hill; Masters overall, male – Joel Lambert, Pensacola; Masters overall, female – Dale Ash, Brewton.
Biathlon (5K run and 15-mile bike ride)
Overall, male – Clayton Tillery, Cantonment;
Overall, female – Paula Eagan, Milton.
25-mile bike ride
1st through 9th places – Sean Donahue, Jeff Smith, Wayne Fayard, Mike McKenzie, William McIntyre, Jim Davenport, Newt Hendrix, Jackson Smith, William Smith. Donahue's time was 1:04:34. Jeff Smith's was 1:04:36.
Kids fun run
Overall, male – Matt Ash;
Overall, female – Kristen Matthews.
1st through 4th places, females – Kristen Matthews, Emily Moore, Brylee Watson, Britton Baisden.
1st through 18th places – Matt Ash, Buddy Valentine, Ryan Woods, Elliot Faircloth, Alan Ash, Christian Reach, Mitchell Brown, Wade Matthews, Ian Reach, Christopher Hare, Richard Godwin, Thomas Moore, Cameron McGhee, Chase Jaye, Casey Hare, Dylan Adams, Brett Wilkins, Austin Albritton.
