Mr. Robert Edward "Bob" Maughon Jr., 48, died Sunday, November 12, 2000, at his residence in Canoe.
He was a native and life long resident of Escambia County. He was retired from the United States Army as a Spec 4.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Edward Maughon Sr. and Winnie Lee Smith Maughon.
He is survived by his wife, Sonya Berdina Taylor Maughon of Canoe; a son, Allie T. Pouncy lll of Robinsonville; two daughters, Brandy Micheal Ard of Bratt and Karen Elizabeth Pouncy of Atmore; a brother, Jimmie M. Maughon of Stockton; two sisters, Wendy L.Wright of Canoe and Nell Bell of Atmore; three grandchildren; two nieces and eight nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 16 at 2 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. J T. Guyton and Bro. Johnny Rushing officiating.
Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday evening, November 15 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m.
Active pallbearers will be Chad Moye, Tommy Byrne, Mike Moye, Bud Lambeth, Frankie Perez, and Jeremy Taylor.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
