Mr. Edward Waymon Johnson, a native of Jay and resident of Spanish Fort for the past 35 years, died Monday, November 20, 2000, at his residence.
He was a member of Spanish Trail Baptist Church, Spanish Fort Masonic Lodge #916, The Scottish Rite and Abba Temple.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Joyce Johnson of Spanish Fort, a son, Jimmy Johnson and his wife, Linda, of Daphne; a daughter, Carol Nabors and her husband, Don, of Spanish Fort; four sisters, Virble DeVore and Ruth Nelson, both of Birmingham, Gertrude Stephens of Spanish Fort and Olivia Killian of Gaston; two brothers, A. D. Johnson of Brewton and Ray Johnson of Atlanta, Ga.; four grandchildren, Jamey Johnson of Norman, Okla., Melissa Everett and her husband, Chad, of Fairhope, Kevin Nabors of Spanish Fort and Allison Nabors of Spanish Fort and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, November 24 at 12 noon at the chapel of Wolfe Funeral Home in Daphne.
Burial was at Serenity Memorial Park.
Wolfe Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
