The Escambia Academy Cougars made it to the championship game of the Monroe Academy Christmas Tournament only to be defeated by the host team, 59-46.
The Cougars played a great game in their tournament opener against Kingwood Christian School which they won, 62-49.
Daniel Alaniz led the scoring with 22, Justin Shirley finished with 13 and David Daniel had nine.
Alaniz and Shirley, who Pruett said played his best game of the year in the loss to Monroe, made the All-Tournament team.
