Mr. Willie James "Billy" Knowles, 81, died Friday, February 16, 2001, in Flomaton.
Mr. Knowles had been a lifelong resident of Flomaton. He was a Deacon of Hall's Creek Baptist Church and a WWII veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Fannie Knowles and infant daughter, Bobbie Jean Knowles.
Mr. Knowles is survived by his son, Curtis Knowles of Flomaton; two daughters, Barbara Lord Jestings and Shirley Petty, both of Flomaton; a sister, Marie Morris of Flomaton; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren,
Funeral services were held Sunday, February 19 at 2 p.m. at Hall's Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. John Cook and the Rev. Bud Hicks officiating.
Burial followed at Little Escambia Cemetery.
Eastside Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
