Mr. Ulysses Grant Townson, 55, died Friday, February 16, 2001, in El Paso, Texas.
Mr. Townson was a native of Bratt and resident of Atmore for the past 15 years. He attended United Pentecostal Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Townson and Ment Graves and a brother, Charles Townson.
Mr. Towson is survived by two sons, Christopher Grant Townson of Theodore and Tony Jones of Bay Minette; three daughters, Patty Jones of Atmore and Kristie Townson and Keri Townson, both of Lakeland, Fla.; a brother, Doug Townson of Brewton; eight grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, February 25 at 2 p.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Clyde Madden officiating.
Burial followed at Godwin Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tony Jones, Waylon Graves, Samuel Graves, Wayne Powell, Michael Krachak and Jason Hadley.
Eastside Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
