Mr. Jay Diller, 77, of Walnut Hill died Sunday, February 25, 2001, in Atmore.
He was a native of Gratiot County in Michigan and a retired farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Rachel Johnson Diller.
Mr. Diller is survived by his wife, Grace W. Diller of Walnut Hill; two sons, James Diller and his wife, Tammy, of Faunsdale, Ala. and Gary Diller and his wife, Linda, of Walnut Hill; a daughter, Linda Unruh and her husband, Lester, of Copeland, Kan.; two brothers, Elmer Diller of Gallion, Ala. and Edwin Diller of Walnut Hill; three sisters, Norma Litwiller and her husband, Maynard and Myrtle Gearig and her husband, Maynard, all of Ithica, Mi. and Violet Wilson and her husband, Russell of Moundridge, Kan. and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 1 at 10:30 a.m. at Walnut Hill Mennonite Church with Bro. Carlos Koehn, Bro. Wilbert Peters, Bro. Galen Harms and Bro. Verle Peters officiating.
Burial was a Walnut Hill Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers were Virgil Litwill, Frank Johnson, Kenneth Diller, Kelvin Diller, Dale Wenger and Ervin Gearig.
In lieu of flowers a memorial may be made to Walnut Hill Christian School, Attn: Deacon Kale Schneider, 9061 Bratt Rd., Century, FL 32535.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
