Mrs. Ruby Myrtle Lee Holland, 74, died Sunday, March 4, 2001, in Century Care Center.
She was a lifelong resident of McDavid, a member of Ray's Chapel Baptist Church of Bogia and taught the Ladies Friendship Sunday School class for many years. She was retired from Vanity Fair.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewel Holland; her father, John Lee; a sister, Lannie "Cricket" Long and a brother, J. C. Lee.
Mrs. Holland is survived by her mother, Emma Lee of Century; two sons, Bobby Holland and his wife, Sandra, of Century and Larry Holland of McDavid; a daughter, Karen Archer and her husband, Sam, of Cantonment; eight grandchildren, Tracy Barrerree, Marcus Holland, John Holland, Kari Archer, Jeremy Archer, Angela Holland, Nik Holland and Rusty Holland; seven great-grandchildren and a nephew, Jeffery Long of Morton, Miss.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 7 at 2 p.m. at Ray's Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. F. L. Enfinger officiating.
Burial will be at Ray's Chapel Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Marcus Holland, John Holland, Jeremy Archer, Lewis Barrerree, Jeffery Long and Jerry Holland.
Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
