Mr. Novie Lee Jones, 87, of Lottie died Monday, March 10, 2001, in Atmore.
He was a retired farmer and member of Lottie Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Cynthia Langham Jones; his wife, Gracie M. Jones and a granddaughter, Ginger Jones.
Mr. Jones is survived by a son, Glenn Jones and his wife, Dian, of Mobile; two daughters, Aliscia Leatherwood and her husband, Winston, of Atmore and Ann Hughes and her husband, Robert, of Lottie; a brother, Dolphus Jones of Lottie; eight grandchildren, Chris Hughes, Cindy Godwin, Cary Hayles, Carla Crysell, Anissa Ledkins, Clark Leatherwood, Kylisha Jones and Glenn Jones Jr. and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 13 at 3:30 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplin Shawn Mizella and Bro. Dempsey Bell officiating.
Burial was at New Home Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Ray Jones, Terry Jones, Julian Little, Morgan Little, Hubert Smith and Roy Whittington. Honorary pallbearers were Martin Tuberville, Otis Hayles, Mary Biggs, Austin Taylor, James Smith, Henry Norton and Aubrey Weaver.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
