Mr. John Hunter Sr., 59, died Wednesday, March 14, 2001 at Baptist Hospital.
Mr. Hunter was a native of Farmersville in Lowndes County and a resident of Pensacola for many years. He was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church and was a retired timber cutter in the timber/logging industry.
Mr. Hunter is survived by his wife, Lucile H. Hunter of Century; three daughters, Vera M. Bright and her husband, Henry, Sheley A. Parker Jr. and her husband, Joe and Bonnie M. Hunter, all of Century; five sons, Edward Ingram and his wife, Daisey, of Millbrook, Michael Hale and his wife, Belinda, of Atlanta, Ga., John Hunter Jr. and his wife, Rochell, Johnnie Hunter Sr. and his wife, JoAnn, and Clarence D. Hunter and his wife, Tracy, all of Century and four brothers Willie Earl Hunter and his wife, Pearl, of Atlanta, WIlliam Hall Sr. and his wife, Pauline of Chattanooga, Tenn., Charlie G. Hunter and Henry L. Hunter, both of Farmersville.
Family hour will be held Friday, March 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Edwards Point Christian Church in Century.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 24 at 1 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church win the Rev. Levon Lewis officiating.
Burial will be at First Missionary Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
