Mr. James Howard Wasdin, 54, of Atmore died Tuesday, March 20, 2001, in Atmore.
He was born in Atmore and was a retired lieutenant with the Department of Corrections with the State of Alabama. Was a member of American Legion in Brewton and a member of the Mason Lodge in Atmore.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Monroe Wasdin.
Mr. Wasdin is survived by his mother, Barbara Daniels Wasdin of Pensacola; a son, Dion Wasdin and his wife Carrie of Huxford,' a daughter Channon Clanton and her husband, Barry of Panama City; five grandchildren; Hunter Wasdin, Brittany Wasdin, James Howard Wasdin II, Devin Clanton and Cameron Clanton. Services will be Friday, March 23 at 2 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Richard Daniels officiating,
Burial was at Huxford Baptist Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Retired Alabama Dept. of Correctional Emergency Response Team.
