Mr. Everett H. Mooney Jr., 76, of Oak Grove, died Friday, March 30, 2001, at his home.
Mr. Mooney was a native of Robinsonville, but had been a resident of Oak Grove for most of his life. He was of the Baptist faith, veteran of WW II and recipient of the Purple Heart. He was retired from Civil Service at Saufley Field as a fireman and a member of American Legion Post 340.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Mr Mooney is survived by his wife, Jean Mooney, of Oak Grove; a son, Glenn Mooney and his wife, Doris, of Pensacola; a daughter, Betty Jean Goleman and her husband,Troy, of Irvington, Ala.; two brothers, Freddy Mooney and his wife, Betty Lois, of Mc David and William C. "Bill" Mooney and his wife, Myrtice, of Pace; three sisters, Margueritte Mc Nair and her husband, Clint, of Pensacola, Patsy Beasley, of Pensacola and Peggy Ann Pugh and her husband, Elvin, of Oak Grove; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 1 at 3 p.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Enfinger officiating.
Burial was at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Eddie Mooney, Steven Pugh Sr., Steven Pugh II, Clinton Pugh, Ronnie Beasley, and Leslie Mooney.
Eastside Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
