Mrs. Lucy Mobley-Thomas, 70, died Sunday, May 6, 2001, at Atmore Community Hospital.
She was a native of Pineapple in Wilcox County and a resident of Atmore for many years. She was a member of Eighth Avenue Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Adell Riley Carter and her grandparents, Jim and Liza Riley and John and Lizzie Carter.
Mrs. Mobley-Thomas is survived by her husband, Alfred Thomas of Atmore; three sisters, Adell Skipper of Atmore, Betty Lyons of Pensacola and Gussie Blankenship of Los Angeles, Calif.; four brothers, Wardell Carter, Isiah Carter and Mack Carter, all of Atmore and Henry Carter of Bay Minette; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, May 11 between 1 and 8:30 p.m. at Turner Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 12 at 11 a.m. at Jones Street True Holiness Church with Bishop Willie L. Williams officiating.
Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
Turner Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
