The Blue Flames battled to a one-run victory over the James Gang in one of the closest games of the year in the Atmore T-ball League.
The Flames won the game on May 8 by a final score of 19-18.
Leading batter for the Flames was Derrick Brown who scored three runs and had four RBIs. Others that produced at the plate included: Phillip Carter, scored four runs; Ty Brown, scored three runs and drove in one; Trista Presley, scored three runs and had three RBIs; Jerorian Brown, scored three runs and three RBIs; Hannah Hinton, two runs, three RBIs; Brandon Martin, two RBIs; Benjamin Patel had two RBIs; Dezarae Turner scored two runs and drove in one; and Steven Riley had one RBI.
Leading the James Gang was Cole Whatley and Tee Howard. Both players scored three runs and had four RBIs. Others helping at the plate were: Chance Jackson, three runs; Sydney McGhee, three runs, one RBI; Casey Jackson, three runs, two RBIs; J.D. Carter, one RBI; Darren McGhee, one run, three RBIs; Dillon McGhee, one run and one RBI; D'Andre Lambert, two RBIs; and Aaron Purvis scored one run.
Killer Watts 38,
Challengers 26
The Killer Watts were electric at the plate on April 27 as they outscored the Pepsi Challengers, 38-26.
Leading the offensive effort for the Killer Watts was Landon Kirkland who scored seven runs and drove in five more. Other offensive leaders include: Walter Franklin, five runs; Jordan Coon, four runs and two RBIs; Nolan McAnally scored four runs; Tristan McAnally scored five runs and had three RBIs; Caleb McAnally, five runs and six RBIs; Austin Cunningham, three runs and two RBIs; Bryant Lane, one run and four RBIs; Chase Jaye, five RBIs; Jamieka North, three RBIs; Andrew Cunningham, two RBIs; Dadrien Lynom, one run and two RBIs and Conner Jaye, three runs and three RBIs.
Logan Webber led the Challengers as he scored four runs and drove in five. Other leaders include: Jenna Brown, three runs, four RBIs; DeMarcus Taylor, three runs, two RBIs; Blake McCall, three runs, four RBIs; Hunter McKinley, one run and three RBIs; Michael Glick, one run and three RBIs; Craig Yoder, four runs; D.J. Shockers 26, Pumpers 11
The Shockers claimed a 26-11 victory over the Pumpers on April 30.
Brandon Brown led the Shockers offensively with six runs and two RBIs. Other contributors were: Raven Burac, three runs and two RBIs; Dane Eiland, three runs, three RBIs; James Dean, two runs and five RBIs; Mason Caraway, one run and one RBI; Casey Freeman, two runs, three RBIs; Kit Leachman, two runs, one RBI; Mallorie Murphy, two runs, two RBIs; Austin Shuttlesworth, two runs, five RBIs; Tory Brown, two runs and Karen Eiland scored one run.
Coolers 28, Shockers 19
The Coolers cooled off the Shockers' bats on May 7 and went on to a 28-19 victory.
Leading the Coolers at the plate was Dustin Wilson. He scored seven runs and drove in six more. Others contributing at the plate were: Tanner Boatwright, three runs; Jordan Sasser, three runs; Clayton Vickrey, four runs and one RBI; Wynell Archie, five runs and five RBIs; DaeJon Burrows, three runs and four RBIs; Robin Swift, two runs and six RBIs; Brannon Freeman, two RBI and Tucker Boatwright drove in one run.
Leading the Shockers offensively was Casey Freeman with six RBIs and one run scored.
