Mr. Paul Douglas Carver, 90, died Wednesday, May 9, 2001 at his residence.
Mr. Carver was a native of Jemison and resident of Atmore for 46 years. He was a member of West Side Baptist Church and a retired house painter.
He is survived by his wife, Velma Byrd Carver of Atmore; three sons, Doug Carver of Shelby County and James Carver and Jerry Carver, both of Atmore; a daughter, Jenna Holmes of Bessemer; a brother, Odale Carver of Mugla, Ala., four grandchildren; two special grandchildren, Wanda Brown and Wendy McArthur and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 11 at 11 a.m. at Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Gladden Mothershed officiating.
Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
