Mr. Leo McGhee, 64, of Frostproof, Fla., died of a stroke Monday, May 21, 2001, at Lake Wales Medical Centers.
Born in Atmore on June 7, 1936, he came to Frostproof in 1969. He was a grove worker for Latt Maxcy Corp. He was a Pentecostal.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen McGhee; daughters, Myrtle Jefferies, of Lake Wales, Anita Tuel of Charleston, S.C. and Jennifer Watts of Frostproof; sons, Jimmy McGhee and Tim McGhee, both of Lake Wales; brothers, Jack McGhee of Babson Park and Fred Lee McGhee of Atmore; sisters, Martha Wilson, Helen Hallman, Deloris Kelly, Velma Crocker, Eldner McGhee, Myrtis Kinman, Judy McGhee, Eva Nell Burkett and Donna White, all of Atmore; 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren .
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 31 at Nelson Funeral Home of Frostproof.
