Bears scold Cubs with 12-9 win

The Edgar Business Machine Bears handed the Maxwell-Haley-Castleberry Cubs a 12-9 defeat on May 24.
Leading the Bears on offense were Robert Poole, Nick Dailey, Suvrat Soni and Kent Howard with two runs each. Mitch Yoder, Tanner Kirk and Tyler Hostetler also scored.
Marshall Rolin, Will Hendrix and Dylan Adams scored two runs each to lead the Cubs' offense. Levi Gideons, Cody Mooney and Wesley Webb also scored.
Beavers 20, Bears 13
The Staff Chevrolet Beavers outslugged the Edgar Business Machine Bears to claim a 20-13 victory on May 22.
Haden McGill led the Beavers' offense with four runs. James Dean, Jon Dean and Clayton Johnson scored three runs each. Nick Flowers, Devante Brown and Garrett Walley scored three runs each. Josh Peoples also scored.
Randy Fretwell and Tyler Hostetler led the Bears with three runs each. Kent Howard scored two runs. Mitch Yoder, Tanner Kirk, Suvrat Soni and Derian Eiland also scored.
Lions 19, Cardinals 8
The Swift Supply Lions earned a 19-8 victory over the Atmore Vision Center Cardinals on May 28.
Leading the Lions was Buddy Valentine with four runs. Brad Mitchell and Michael Campbell scored three runs each.
Perry Jones and Thomas Moore scored two runs each. Tyler Mosser, Chase Godwin, Gary Barnes, Wesley Sirmon and Austin Prosser also scored.
Brett Wilkins led the Cardinal offense with three runs. Trey Grant and Austin Lee scored two runs each. Dalton Phillips also scored.
Beavers 9, Cubs 8
The Staff Chevrolet Beavers scored a one-run victory over the Maxwell-Haley-Castleberry Cubs on May 28.
Leading the Beavers' offense was Nick Flowers with three runs. Jon Dean scored two runs. James Dean, Haden McGill, Dillian Overstreet and Josh Peoples also scored.
Derrick Day and Ryan Linam scored three runs each for the Cubs. Marshall Rolin and Blake Moye also scored.
Bears 17, Cardinals 14
The Staff Chevrolet Beavers outslugged the Atmore Vision Center Cardinals 17-14 on May 29.
Randy Fretwell, Tanner Kirk and Mitch Yoder led the Beavers with three runs each. Nick Dailey, Suvrat Soni and Tyler Hostetler scored two runs each. Kent Howard and Darian Eiland also scored.
Leading the Cards were Cameron McGhee, Steven Brown, Adam Respress, Austin Lee, Clay Kirby and Brett Wilkins with two runs each. Jacob Rackard and Dalton Phillips also scored.
Beavers 25, Lions 7
The Staff Chevrolet Beavers continued playing well offensively with a 25-7 win over the Swift Supply Lions on May 29.
Leading the Beavers were Gavin Salter and Jon Dean with four runs each. Nick Flowers and Haden McGill scored three runs each. Dillian Overstreet, Josh Peoples, Devante Brown and Garrett Walley scored two runs each. Cody Janes, James Dean and Colby White also scored.
Scoring for the Lions were Brad Mitchell, Buddy Valentine, Tyler Mosser, Chase Godwin, Gary Barnes, Donovan McLaughlin and Thomas Moore.
Bears 14, Cubs 2
The Edgar Business Machine Bears defeated the Maxwell-Haley-Castleberry Cubs 14-2 on May 31.
Leading the Bears offense was Cedric Pierce with three runs. Randy Fretwell, Tyler Hostetler, Kent Howard and Robert Poole scored two runs each. Tanner Kirk, Suvrat Soni and Nick Dailey also scored.
Marshall Rolin and Chris Phillips scored the Cubs' only runs.
