The United Bank Silver Eagles 12-and-under girls softball team scored 12 runs in the first inning to elevate them to a 19-14 victory over the South Alabama Vending Sluggers on June 4.
Renee Simpson, Kim Holland and Crystal Rolin led the Silver Eagle offense with three runs. Katie Smith and Kayla Presley scored two runs each. Kris Collivert, Raven Culliver, Lydia Rolin, Kelly Holland also scored.
Leading the Slugger offense were Marteshia Crenshaw, Miranda McKinley, Jaime Drew and Ashanti Jones with two runs each. Megan Day, Jamia Lee, Jennifer America, Anna McGhee, Haley Fierds and Kristina Riley also scored.
Bombers 21, Sluggers 16
The Church's Chicken Bombers and South Alabama Vending Sluggers left their defenses at home on June 5 as the teams combined for 37 runs with the Bombers taking a 21-16 win.
Kayla Morgan, Heather White, Rachel Ellis, Janay Baltes and Danailla Green led the Bombers with three runs each. Brooke Bell and Hannah Jones scored two runs each. Lori Bonds and Krystie Rolin also scored.
Megan Day led the Sluggers with four runs. Miranda McKinley scored three runs. Jaime Drew and Ashanti Jones scored two runs each. Martesha Crenshaw, Ashley Brazzell, Anna-Lisa McGhee, Jennifer America and Khrystyna Riley also scored.
Bombers 18, Mystics 12
The Church's Chicken Bombers outscored the Masland Carpet Mystics 18-12.
Leading the Bombers were Heather White and Lori Bonds with three runs each. Kayla Morgan, Brooke Bell and Danailla Green scored two runs each. Melissa Moore, Rachel Ellis, Janay Baltes, Hannah Jones and Olivia Scott also scored.
Leslie Lyons and Sandy Booth led the Mystics with two runs each. Stacey Gibbs, Courtney Patrick, Elisabeth Hendrix, Anushka Banks, Britton Baisden, Levy Daniel, Erin Burkette and Brittany Powers also scored.
Mystics 10, Silver Eagles 8
The Masland Carpet Mystics came back with a victory against the United Bank Silver Eagles, 10-8, on June 5.
Leslie Lyons, Courtney Patrick, Elisabeth Hendrix and Sandy Booth led the Mystics with two runs each. Anushka Banks and Britton Baisden also scored.
Kim Holland and Crystal Rolin led the Silver Eagles with two runs each. Kayla Presley, Renee Simpson, Katie Smith and Ashley Dixon also scored.
